Undergraduate Academic Honors

Indiana Tech recognizes three levels of outstanding academic achievement by undergraduates when a degree is earned. The level of distinction is indicated on transcripts.

Undergraduate degree students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by March 31 will be presented with gold honor cords to be worn during commencement. Eligible students will receive their honor cords with their cap and gown. Students who attain an eligible GPA after the March 31 deadline will not be presented honor cords in time for commencement.

***Summa Cum Laude (with greatest honor) GPA of 3.90 and above

**Magna Cum Laude (with great honor) GPA of 3.70 and above

*Cum Laude (with honor) GPA of 3.50 and above

Honors and accolades from other organizations

Military students will be given red, white, and blue cords to signify military service.

Any accolades from other organizations will come from those organizations and not from the Office of the Registrar.
