Ah, the pageantry of commencement day. So many colors. So many variations in garb. Find out what it all means here.

Honors and Degrees

Honor cords

Undergraduate students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher by March 31 will be presented with honor cords to be worn during commencement. Eligible students will receive their honor cords with their cap and gown. Students who attain an eligible GPA after the March 31 deadline will not be presented honor cords in time for commencement.

Honors and accolades from other organizations

Any accolades from other organizations will come from those organizations and not from the University Registrar.

Multiple degrees

Students earning multiple degrees only need to walk once at commencement. Each additional degree will be read when the student crosses the stage. These students were contacted via email and letter to ensure they were marked to walk for the correct degree.
